Practical Philosophy - 7
------------------------------
"NECESSITY"
--------------------
If necessity is the mother of invention,
Then there is no cause for any tension ;
One can opt for a suitable prevention ;
And breathe easy, sans any hesitation !
--------------------
"FLOAT"
------------
Suddenly when a tide rocks your boat,
At times it is difficult to keep afloat,
As long as it does not wet your coat,
Is there any need to lose your goat ? !
-----------------------
"RACE"
-----------
Life shows that slow and steady wins the race,
There's as such no need for any frenetic pace,
At times there could be some loss of grace,
But patience usually puts a smile on the face !
--------------------
"WEALTH"
---------------
All the efforts and energy spent in creating wealth,
Are generally detrimental to one's own state of health ;
Since age and time cause steady erosion with stealth.
---------------------
"NURTURE"
------------------
What ever plans are afoot for the unknown future ;
Which in our rosy dreams we carefully nurture,
Blissfully unaware of the situations to suture,
The truth is that one is a perishable creature !
--------------------
"NIGHT"
-------------
There are ships that had crossed in the night,
But in one's old age, they do flash some light,
Traipsing down the lanes of memory might,
Give the zeal and zest to set most things right !
---------------------
"ABLE"
----------
When there are myriad defects in a cable,
What one sees is quite often not stable,
Does this mean that the eyes are not able ?
New ideas are needed to be put on the table.
--------------------
"FUMBLE"
----------------
The elderly are generally prone to fumble,
Or be caught in a sudden painful tumble,
Steps and slopes result in many a stumble,
The good thing is that we seldom grumble !
-------------------
"WRAP"
------------
There are times when life looks like a trap,
Whatever occurs seems akin to some crap,
Is this the period when fate has plans to wrap,
And release one's bondage sans any strap ? !
---------------------
"TICK"
----------
Which of life's events are really worth a tick,
The days when you were not weak and sick,
Or, in your work, when all went well and slick,
It is indeed difficult to be neutral and pick !
